Hardware

MoBIUS keeps things small; it uses an STM32 microcontroller with a built-in Bluetooth Low Energy chip, further reducing its already-small footprint. The resulting printed circuit board is about the same size as a quarter, and by moving certain components off-board, MoBIUS is able to take on a less conventional design with reduced cost and complexity.

Software

Inertial measurement data serves as the basis for MoBIUS's orientation, movement, and tap recognition, and Bluetooth Low Energy allows for a simple one-step pairing process along with basic power conservation. MoBIUS is entirely plug and play; no external drivers or dongles are needed.

Casing

Printed in ABS plastic, MoBIUS's casing is lightweight, cheap to manufacture, and molded to comfortably rest on the user's finger with minimal intrusion on other actions such as typing.
